In 2015, Edgar Garay sent an email to a Georgia Tech professor asking to join his lab. He wanted to improve the efficiency of power amplifiers. Now, his work is enabling wireless carriers in the 5G space to cut energy waste, boost the speed of data transmission, and increase how much data can be moved at any one time.

Campus Updates
Check Yourself
As we begin a new semester, be sure to refer to and use the daily self-screening questionnaire and the Covid-19 decision tree, which provide guidelines for getting tested, reporting a positive test, and isolating yourself away from others.
Get Tested
All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in weekly testing for Covid-19. Testing sites have reopened for the semester and provide fast and free asymptomatic testing.
Get Vaccinated
Covid-19 vaccines are available to all Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff, as well as their family members ages 12 and older. Campus vaccine clinics resumed this week.
